Ice Breaker Lock-In Party

5863 Sandy Point, Rockwell City IA

These directions are based on the fact that most people will be traveling on Highway 20 – West. It’s a divided highway, 65 mph (or is it 70 now?) the whole way from Des Moines to Fort Dodge, IA

Once you reach Fort Dodge, continue on Highway 20 west another 25 miles to Rockwell City, IA

Headed out of Rockwell City, (still west) you’ll reach the Hwy 4 intersection, NORTH. It’s on the right hand side of the road, about a half mile outside of the “town”
Turn north – right – onto Hwy 4.

Travel on Hwy 4 another 6-7 miles until you come to a curve, take the curve onto county road D-26, also I think Google maps calls it 220th Ave.
There’s signs pointing to Twin Lakes
(There’s a north twin lake – which is the one you want, and also a south twin. South Twin is more of a marsh really; I don’t know what people do there, if anything?)

Anyhow this will be a right hand turn/curve, traveling east. Following this about a mile or 1.5 miles.

Come to a bicycle sculpture, keep RIGHT. Essentially traveling around the south side of the lake. (South side of North Twin, got it? Har har)

You’ll see the lovely Twin Lakes Marina on the south (right-hand) side of the road. Follow around a little while; you’ll see Twin Lakes Gas & Grocery on the north (left-hand) side of the road.
DRIVE IN THERE!

If you continue past Augie’s, you’ve gone too far. Turn around and drive into the “inside” road. You’ll go down a little hill and in to this service or frontage road.

Address is 5863 Sandy Point Rd, and it’s the 4th house down from the Twin Lakes Gas & Groceries. A small brown place with a 1-car garage and a white garage door, white shutters. I’ve included a picture of what the outside looks like. Across the street is a grassy patch with a garden.

We hope to be advertising the Eagles are in town, by hanging up the Eagles banner, and also of course our vehicle, black minivan, Minnesota plates.

Call Zach with questions, and drive safe. See you there
