game planning

Okay as we all know we made some changes to the line-up card for this year's squad.

First off starting qb David. My brother doesn't know how well his arm will hold up so I will be rotating with him.

OL Albert, Zach, Mike, Kyle, and Steven

Wide outs, Braden, Marcus, Myself, Tim, Marty , Scottie, Steven, and David.

With wide outs I'm going to say it right now Braden should be on the field as much as he feels he can go. He was our best player last year. Other than that let's keep people fresh and moving in and out, three to four plays at a time and get off the field.

My offensive philosophy this year will be flood one side of the field with wide outs and roll the QB left or right. Cuts the field in half, easier for me to read the defense and if they are playing zone they lose two to three defense guys. Also I'm thinking more like a pg this year, match-ups. If Braden has four inches on the guy gaurding him, the ball is going his way. Same for Marcus. I'm telling them to run a ten yard hook and putting high and toward the side line. Either they catch it or it goes out of bounds. When my brother is in, we'll have to see what he is comfortable with because he might be able to pick apart a defense because of his experianca playing QB. Also anytime the Qb scrambles or a wide out get into the open field we need to fill lanes and go into the option.

Also stacking the field with trips recievers or sending a guy into motion needs to happen a lot more.

D-line Albert, Mike, Zach, David, Kyle, Steven.
MLB Scottie
CB Time, Steven, Myself, Kyle, Marty, Marcus
S Tim, Braden Marcus

I did not play defense last year so i'm just tossing out ideas here, One we need to get on the same page, because Kyle said last year everyone was kinda of doing their own thing. I think we should blitz one or two every down, presser seemed to be a big thing, We should switch up zone and man with Scottie or on of the Safeties making the call. Passing guys of the safety, playing bump and run, straight man, striaght zone. Mixing it up might confuse the QB. So maybe one call is bump and run, one call zone, one call man with safeties over top. If we can huddle up real quick and make a call that would be great.

I think letting some one make all the calls would be real nice while in the field of play and then talk about adjustments on the sidelines. Obviously the Qb on offense, I think Tim should do it on defense because Braden said he's got a lot of experiance playing football especailly on d.

Let me know what you guys think
Talk more on Friday and Saturday
Don't forget game's at 11 on Saturday it would great to have everyone there by ten to talk about stuff.

Hey Guys whats happening?
i was hoping i could maybe go out for a long ball in the slots with braden. Two big dudes with tall targets wouldnt be a bad thing. although i am strong on the line.

Getting jacked up for saturday.
