An in prompt to Flying Eagles weekend came about in Des Moines over a nice little Saturday and Sunday. It all started with a phone call from Matt Cunningham, a once Marycrest Marauding Eagle, He plays for the Washington Generals. Yes I'm talking about the team that has lost something like 7,000 games in a row against the Harlem Globetrotters.
Matt scored us free tickets, so I ca-cawwed the gang in Des Moines to get ready for an Eagle weekend. Kyle and I fly west on Saturday afternoon to Marcus's house under the open door policy in our Code of Conduct and Valor. Scottie came over with the new hats to display and boy are they nice, please let us know if you need one. Marty hung out for a while and we made our last pitch to me about attending an Eagle official eagle event to become a member. We started the night off with beer and grape Soda. We even called our President and got his blessing on the event.
Saturday night and we fly around downtown Des Moines and end up perch with our dancing shoes in Peoples. The band Public Property was playing and they put on great show to groove too. You can really get your talons and wings going to these guys. We end up back at Marcus where Scottie lost a bet that Totina's pizza made a Mexican pizza.
We wake up on Sunday to Cham and eggs. Cham and Eggs for those eagle readers that don't know is a time honored breakfast dish. It is served anytime Matt Cunningham is going to part of the weekend activities. Those of you wondering what type of dish Cham and Eggs is, it's very simple to make, take out any meat in your fridge that you need to get rid of and cook it up. Second scramble eggs. Third you mix the meat and eggs together and lastly you serve to your guest.
We head to the Washington Generals game to see Matt lose again. We get weird looks when we cheer for Matt as he scored a couple of times. After the game we give Matt a pep talk about they'll get those Globetrotters next time. We hang out with Matt all Sunday after noon. Kyle and I fly back east, around ten O'clock. Finishing off our Weekend but I'm sure Marcus can add to the story as he was able to hang out with Matt because he lives in Des Moines.
It was a great weekend for the Eagles
And it think it's time to add Matt Cunningham to our band of Eagles, I'm nominating Matt "Cham 30" Cunningham for induction into the Flying Eagles. Let's make this once Marauding Eagle and Flying Eagle
And collectively let's send good thoughts toward those Washington Generals hoping they can steal one from the Globetrotters.

All in all, a good showing.
If Cham30 is inducted, i move for "Cham&Eggs" to become an official breakfast of the FESC, to be served at all overnight functions, whenever possible...possible award of "EGGHEAD" who would be the person to make the most eggheaded goof-ups. the "EGGHEAD" would be responsible for bringing a dozen eggs (much like the jell-o mold that Marcus never brings)
