We have a new shirt design in the works. The color of the shirt/ink and the slogan on the banner should be open for debate. I like the royal blue shirt with yellow ink.
Currently the slogan is: What kind of name is Poon? Comanche Indian
Other possibilities:
"Pancake breakfast, we do it every year"
"This is not 'Nam...There are Rules"
"I'll have a Bloody Mary, a steak sandwich, and...uhh...steak sandwich"
"How 'bout lunch at the In 'N' Out Burger? Just the In 'N' Out? Just the In?"
Let us know what your ideas are and we can put it to a vote soon.
Also going to look into getting koozies.

Prices:
about $15/per shirt for order of 10
$5.50 extra for a name
$3.00 extra for a number
Koozies have to be an order of at least 50 and would be $3 each
what about a inside quote of the eagles, such as Kia back doored me, Still Here, or rule number one wait it out, I'm 6'4" or something making fun of one of us in a way we always get made fun of, such as Scottie don't the forgetten back street boy, If your dating john there is a 99% chant yoru crazy, or why does Kyle even have a cell phone, just a thought
Bring back... TWO SHOTS LAST LETTER
hey duderinos--
my quick 2 cents on the last couple postings. A shout out to Big Bear, holla!, long time no see. Forecast is looking overcast for being able to join you guys on the northern trail. Mary got cholorea and two of the oxen died. Along with work and bball commitments that weekend. But if anything changes I will be in.
On the shirts, I like the royal blue/yellow print idea. For the slogan I would get behind, "Spirit of Blackhawk" "Get the A on the paper, if you cant get the A get the b get the b get the b" (fully aware that wouldn't fit but maybe some quip from the theme song), "Urban Acheivers" or "You said it man!"
Last tidbit, saw Prater at the Iowa State Fair Mullet Contest this weekend. Not competing but there to spectate wearing a Mullets Rule! Business in front party in the back" Tshirt. Classic.
JIM-- MARCUS
I also saw Prater at the fair on Sunday. It was from a distance so I didn't get to talk to him...but I did notice he was still rocking the denim shorts..."Hold on to the end of the line", that line being fashion designs of the late 90's
So I love what's happening here by the way. Couple items of business...
1) Can someone add EastCoastRott as an admin or at least a contributing member? Sometimes I have stuff to say.
2) Can someone post a full nesting of the Eagles (including, name location, title, favorite cereal, etc.)? Does such a document exist? I am preparing for a big recruitment push out here and I'd like to get my eagles in a row.
In terms of the T-shirt. Love the design. I dig the FESC shield on the chest and am cool with blue/yellow combo. Having said that I think we should limit the slogan/phrase/quote to something pretty short. We aren't writing the great American novel here. Short and sweet. (That's what she said - hey that might work!)
More than anything I think the quote should embody the project of the Flying Eagles and what we are trying to do. It should be universal and personal at the same time. It should hearken back to the days of yor while keeping an eye on the future. It should make your skin crawl and gut sink and then make you weep for the souls of the children who embody the hope for humanity. It should make us believe that the destiny that lies before us is what we make it to be and throughout the ages and across the sands of time.... Aww shucks, there I go ramblin' again.
Below are my top 2 votes of the ones I've read and then a few of my own contributions...
"This is not 'Nam .. There are Rules"
"Urban Achievers"
"I'm kind of a big deal" (or we're kind of...)
Although it seems pretty serious at first glance, the irony is great. I pulled these from the manifesto.
"Respect. Caring. Truth. Responsibility. Integrity."
or this from the creed.
"Flying above the clouds"
After writing all these out I really like the last one here. It's weird and funny and what the fuck does it even really mean? It sounds like a slogan for a shitty regional airline and is completely original. Plus it also comes from the FE Creed.
"The middle road is our sky to fly"
That's my dime's worth,
Ranger Rott
